On 13th of September 2025, Prime Minister of India Shri
Narendra Modi visit Imphal for the very first time after the communal
ethnic since 2023. On his visit he first landed at Bir
Tikendrajit International Airport Imphal. He supposed to visit
Churachandpur district through Chopper services but due to a bad weather he had
to travel by road and firstly visited Churachandpur district. After he visited
Churachandpur district, he visits Imphal the Capital city of Manipur.
On arrival of PM Modi on the stage,
he is welcome with traditional shawls and portrait gifted through Governor of
Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla. PM Modi assure to improve the
infrastructure of Information and Technology (IT) and has the plan to make
smart city in the coming days soon. Employment opportunity for youth will make
better than before.
PM Modi on his speech said that, at
present Govt. many roads connectivity from villages to villages have
constructed under different scheme. As compare to the earlier times, widening
of NH-37 and many more roads, bridges have done under the present Govt. as part
of the development. The objective of such roads, transports is to remove the
poor connectivity and hardship faced by the people of Manipur.
For the welfare of the Woman
section, a special hut bazar called in different name such as Ima Keithel/Ima
Market/Nupi Market is constructed by the present Govt. PM Modi said that,
Manipur will be a trade sector in the coming days.
As per the present tax slapped, GST
rate has reduced for the Northeast states and this will benefit the businesses
and consumer for trade commodity such as clothing, soap, cement and steel said
PM Modi on his live speech.
PM Modi also said that in every
aspect, the Central Govt. will go along with Manipur from India’s freedom
movement Netaji Subash Chandra Bose till today. During operation Sindoor
occurred at Kashmir, the sacrifice and lost of lives in the operation by the
Jawans of Manipur will be always remembered by India said PM Modi on his live
speech.
Manipur is excellency in sports and
athletics and has made the Nation proud. Without the participants of the
Manipur youth in athletics India is nothing said PM Modi with proud and bold
feeling. Therefore, Khelo India scheme is being plan in National Sport Policy
and will be given a priority for the youth of Manipur and this will benefit
many youths in the field of sports in the coming days.
PM Modi appeal the people of Manipur
to abstain from ethnic and maintain peace and harmony in the states. He has mentioned
about the Nepal and have seen all what has happened in Nepal Gen Z movement and
felt deeply sorrow for the lost and destruction. During the Manipur ethnic,
many households have turned to ashes and homeless. Therefore, to bring the hope
and return of their lives the Govt. have made a special package of Rs.3000 Cr. for
7000 houses in Manipur.
