Blooming School torched

Blooming Flower Children’s Foundation School was torched by an unknown miscreant at the dawn of 18^th October 2024 at Jiribam Kalinagar, Jiribam District. The school was established in 1997 and it is managed by the Pvt. Unaided. The Principal of the School is Rev. Benjamin Shakum who belong to a Hmar community. The school is located at Jiribam Kalinagar, under Jiribam District. Once upon a time the school is known for the best teaching and career guidance for the students also an affordable school fees for the parents. Many teachers and staff from different tribe and community worked together, maintained harmony peace and build a good relationship among all the colleague. The school is renowned for quality education, hassle route connectivity even for the remote areas and also a Christian school. The school is a primary high school and has a standard of up to class 8. However, after the Manipur crisis begun, all the native parts of the villages and town gradually spread the crisis. Therefore, the Hmar community and other Kuki community residing in various part of the village in Jiribam Kalinagar has abandoned for a better and safer place. The school is abandoned for a very long time and many parents shifted their children at different school for the uninterrupted studies unconditionally. Unfortunately, the Blooming Flower Children’s Foundation School was torched by an unknown miscreant at the dawn of 18^th October 2024 at Jiribam Kalinagar, under Jiribam District. The native villagers’ who are alarmed by the fire which could lead a massive spark to the neighbors residing near the school have tried their best as a firefighter to safeguard and stop the fire. The native villagers’ sleeps are interrupted and also have put a fear among them that may cause casualty from fire. In spite of several attempt by the concerned District Administration to bring peace and high-level talk at New Delhi, such barbaric act which has happen in Jiribam District again is said to be condemn by the All Jiribam Tribal Union (AJTU). The AJTU also strongly condemn and stated for a peaceful co-existence that “enough is enough” and request to all the communities to refrain from such untoward violence and barbaric act, instead to have love, respect to each other and seek for peace.
